Chad’s commitment to public safety began more than two decades ago through volunteer service in Nicollet County, where he stepped forward to serve his community long before entering full-time law enforcement. As a lifelong resident, Chad understands the values of Nicollet County because they are his own. He has remained actively involved in the community through service organizations and local initiatives, working alongside residents and partners to strengthen safety and quality of life.

Chad and his wife, Rachel, have built their life in Nicollet County, raising their family here and staying deeply connected to the community. Together, they have five children, and their commitment to this community continues to shape Chad’s approach to leadership and service.

Chad is running for sheriff with a clear vision: a sheriff’s office that is open, accountable, and truly engaged with the community—not just in words, but in action. He believes the office does not belong to any one individual—it belongs to the people of Nicollet County.
